Author Bio

Sierra Xie (formerly known as Sierra Guay) is a fiction writer based in North Carolina (USA). She was born in Lisbon Falls, ME and has a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, Nutrition, and Food Science and a Master of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition. Sierra also has a Certificate in Creative Writing from Simon Fraser University and is currently pursing a Certificate in Technical Communication from the University of California, Berkeley, Extension.

Sierra writes micro, flash, and short fiction. She is currently writing her first novel. Her short story "The Change" was published in emerge 22: The Writer's Studio Anthology. She was selected as a semifinalist in the 2022 Doris Betts Fiction Contest.  In spring of 2022, she won third prize in the Town of Farmville's annual Hometown Haiku Contest.

Sierra lives with her husband, Kevin, and their cat, Dory. In addition to writing, she enjoys reading, exercising, and eating vegetables.
